Artexpo Is Back—And It’s Bigger Than Ever at Pier 94

By A. E. Colas, Contributing Writer, April 11, 2017

Artexpo New York is the art fair that explodes all your ideas about art: that it’s too expensive, too precious, ordinary people can’t or don’t own original work from an artist and have no access to the art market at all. None of that is true here!

Artexpo New York, in its 39th year of operation, is three fairs in one location: general exhibitor space featuring original artworks sold by artists, galleries and publishers; a second fair focusing on emerging artists; and a third fair for independent fine art photographers. You will be amazed at the sheer variety of work available for sale — your only problem will be deciding what fantastic item to buy.

There will also be seminars open to the public and trade alike, focusing on various aspects of the art market. Learn what trends are happening now, how artists market and sell their work, and how the economy affects it all.

During the fairs, artists will be available to discuss their work and many will be doing demonstrations daily, showing how their ideas become reality. There is also a program called Spotlight Artist where a specially selected group of artists have been invited to create site-specific installations. All events and seminars are included in the ticket price.
